Frederik graduated as a licentiate in Law from the Faculty of Ghent and later pursued additional studies in Film Studies & Visual Culture and Intellectual Property Rights.

In 2005, he began his legal career as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar, specializing in entertainment law.

Following the completion of his traineeship, he joined the record label [PIAS] in 2008, where he remained active for 15 years.

Initially starting as a junior BA manager, he later served as the Head of Legal and Business Affairs for Continental Europe. He represented [PIAS] on the boards of the collection societies SIMIM and IMAGIA and also handled all BA activities for the music publishing/sister company Strictly Confidential.

In parallel, Frederik was active as a musician in the rock band The Van Jets, who won HUMO's Rock Rally in 2004. The band became a household name in the Belgian music scene until they officially disbanded in late 2018.

Frederik is also active as an artist manager for Iskander Moon, Tristan, and Robbing Millions.
